Fort Williams Park is located on the coast of Maine in Cape Elizabeth and it offers beautiful views, historic sites, and many recreational opportunities. Concerts, special events, graduations, family reunions, art shows, and picnics are often held at the park. Artists, photographers, writers, and readers seem to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
There is a large sheltered picnic area on a hill that overlooks the water. There is also a bandstand and gazebo.
Visitors often enjoy the fields for playing ball and flying kites. Runners and cyclists appreciate the paths. There are many picnic tables and barbecue grills. The tennis courts, playground, and beach combing opportunities are also appreciated. There are several historic buildings on the property that children and adults love to explore. In the winter visitors enjoy sledding, cross country skiing, and skating.
